The business of Summer melts into Fall

So July was a super busy month for David and I and now we are on to September. So we got a call in July that the woman who adopted our foster Mickey didn't want her anymore because she was "too busy" and she didn't have enough time for her. She had expected that Mickey would lay around and sleep all day like her 12 year old dog did. Mickey is only 3. Anyway...the poor sweet thing made her way back into our house and this time it'll be even harder to let her go but I'm hoping we find the right home for her this time. We also got some good news in July that we are expecting our first child in April 2010! We are really excited and are looking forward to the life changes that this will bring! My nephew Henry had his 4th birthday, Aunt B (that's me!) knitted him an awesome super hero cape as you can see it works well for swing set powers. My sister and brother in law also became parents for the second time and we welcomed Jack into the family. David and I were honored when they asked us to serve as his Godparents.

Cameron Found Her Forever Home!

We are happy to report Cameron found her Forever Home! I started a hat for my mom this week for Christmas (don't worry, she knows) and it's supposed to look like a 1920's Cloche. I'm about done, I should have it done by the weekend and then on to the next project. I had Achilles help me model the hat in progress

Cameron-Our New Foster Puppy

This is Cameron, she is our new foster puppy, she's an American Bulldog/Staffie mix-only about 5-6 months old.

Finally Knitted Something for ME!

I did this cute little coin purse last night, I still need to sew the zipper in but other than that it's done and it only took about 3 hours total! What a great quick project! The pattern and yarn are from Pick Up Sticks, I just love her patterns!
